erched along Valletta's storied
St Barbara Bastion, La Maison
represents the latest architectural
chapter in the ongoing evolution of
Iniala Harbour House and Residences,
Malta's only Forbes Five-Star and
two-Michelin-Key hotel. Conceived
as a private townhouse rather than
a conventional suite, this residence
distils the intimacy of home with the
refinement of world-class hospitality.
The intervention re-establishes the
architectural integrity of a Valletta
townhouse whose original character
had been gradually eroded through
successive alterations. Stripped of its
spatial hierarchy and material identity,
the structure was reconceived by local
architects AP Valletta, with interiors
by And Architects of London, as a
