Based on customers placing increased importance on having more control over their time and money, Bolt has launched Bolt Plus, its monthly membership that provides members with access to exclusive ride-hailing and delivery benefits. For just €4.99 per month, Bolt Plus members in Malta can enjoy the best-value membership on the island, saving both time and money across Bolt's most popular services. Members can order from selected Bolt Food part- ners without paying a delivery fee, sav- ing up to €3.5 per order, and enjoy pri- ority delivery so their food arrives faster. Two food deliveries a month or two rides a week: that's all it takes for Bolt Plus to pay for itself. What makes Bolt Plus unique is its com- bined value. By connecting ride-hailing and delivery benefits, members can use the cashback earned from their rides across both Bolt and Bolt Food, making it easy to save on everyday mobility and delivery needs. Customers can download the Bolt app to sign up for Bolt Plus and enjoy its benefits. They will see the Join Bolt Plus button in the main menu at the top right of the screen. After tapping it, they can select their preferred membership plan. Once confirmed, they can enjoy the full range of delivery and ride-hail- ing benefits, including up to 10% cash- back on rides (5% on any ride, and 10% on scheduled or airport rides) and three free ride cancellations per month. The restaurants and stores where Bolt Plus members can order food and products without a delivery fee are marked with a "+" sign in the app. Sam O'Byrne at Bolt Food said: "At Bolt, we constantly strive to improve our customers' experience, so we are de- lighted to offer a wider range of benefits to Bolt Plus members, covering the most popular daily Bolt services and allowing them to save both money and time. Speaking to MaltaToday, he had described the barracks as "Malta's most important mod- ernist monument" and stressed the need to identify and pro- tect buildings before any devel- opment. At that time, he warned that retaining only one façade or building as a token ges- ture would be meaningless. He highlighted the barracks' composition along the slope, now framed by mature Alep- po pines, noting that the sur- rounding landscape is integral to the site's value. While earmarking the rest of the site for tourism devel- opment, the White Rocks De- velopment Brief of 1995 had already recognised the archi- tectural value of the complex and encouraged future own- ers to retain some or all of the buildings. The White Rocks site has a long history of proposed de- velopment. In 1995, a devel- opment brief covered 36.9 hectares, restricting major con- struction largely to the exist- ing holiday complex. Over the years, plans shifted. Under the Fenech Adami administration, an upscale tourism project was considered, while under Law- rence Gonzi a sports village with associated residential de- velopment was proposed. Under the Muscat adminis- tration, the site was eyed for a real estate development, with calls for luxury apartments and hotels. None of these projects materialised, leaving the area undeveloped and setting the stage for the decision by Rob- ert Abela to turn the site into a national park. one by graffiti artist Mark Taylor.
