Gaulitanus Choir to open the 2026 musical
season in Gozo with 'A New Year's Toast'
RIGHT after its very success-
ful 'Tota Pulchra' concert held
earlier this December, the
Gaulitanus Choir is now in
full gear preparing for its up-
coming yearly Festive Season
appointment: the 14th edition
of 'A New Year's Toast' - one
of the Gaulitanus' major annu-
al events, The concert, which
musically opens in style the
New Year, is being held, as usu-
al, on January 1 at 19:30hrs at
the Kempinski San Lawrenz.
'A New Year's Toast', under
the musical and artistic direc-
tion of the choir's founder-di-
rector Colin Attard, will fea-
ture the Gaulitanus Choir, its
soloists and an instrumental
ensemble in a vivacious, wide
and varied repertoire. Ranging
from seasonal to very bouncy
numbers, from classical to light
and traditional excerpts, and
from very well-known melo-
dies to others which perhaps
will mean a first hearing for a
few, the chosen repertoire is
surely one for everyone's tastes
and for all ages. Indeed, 'A New
Year's Toast' promises to be yet
again a musical bonanza of vo-
cal and instrumental numbers
which ensure a most positive
start to 2026.
Entrance to 'A New Year's
Toast', which is being support-
ed by the MGP's Cultural Her-
itage Directorate and Playpen,
is free on a first-come-first-
served basis and no reserva-
tions are required.
