9 gozotoday | FRIDAY • 30 JANUARY 2026 CULTURE THIS year's Inħobbok Val- entine's in Gozo 2026 pro- gramme will be held between 31 January and 14 February, fea- turing a number of activities or- ganised across various Gozitan localities and centred on the theme of love and romance. The programme was launched by Minister for Gozo and Plan- ning Clint Camilleri, who stated that "this programme follows the record success achieved during the Christmas season. As promised, we will not stop here and will continue working to increase tourism during the traditionally quieter months." He added that "through initia- tives like these, we are position- ing Gozo as the natural choice and an island for every season. This remains one of the main objectives of the Gozo Island of Villages strategy." Minister Camilleri explained that the Valentine's Day cel- ebrations in Gozo, now syn- onymous with the island, will kick off with the popular Gozo #Inħobbok concert, featuring a performance by The Travellers, and will continue with a series of cultural activities linked to this time of year. Together, these initiatives celebrate love in all its forms. He continued by noting that this year's activities are de- signed to welcome everyone — couples, families and friends — and encouraged the public to explore the squares and streets of Gozitan villages. "We are proud that the work we have carried out is yielding results. Our capital city, Victo- ria, has been shortlisted for the title of European Capital of Cul- ture 2031, a milestone that re- flects the talent and dedication of our creative community," Minister Camilleri said. Minister Clint Camilleri con- cluded by inviting everyone to "continue discovering the beau- ty, creativity and unique expe- riences that Gozo has to offer during this special time of year."
