The situation was put under the spotlight last week, when the teenage son of Nationalist MP Adrian Delia was left un- conscious following a violent assault by a group of young people. The boy was hospital- ised after the attack and his fa- ther has called for the situation to be addressed by the author- ities. Sources who spoke to this newspaper said the perpetra- tors of the attack have been identified by the police. In the wake of the assault, people spoke of gangs and large groups of troublesome teen- agers who have been causing problems in Sliema's shopping district.
