7 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 22 MARCH 2026 COMMERCIAL BOV Colour My Run highlights community well-being with Richmond Roundation PART of the proceeds from the latest BOV Colour My Run were donated to Richmond Founda- tion, supporting the NGO's on- going work to promote mental well-being across the commu- nity. The 5K fun run took place in November 2025 and was organ- ised by X-Tribe in collaboration with Colour My Run Malta. It also formed part of the Bank's well-being challenge, which en- courages a more balanced ap- proach to physical, mental and financial health. Part of the pro- ceeds of the event went directly to Richmond Foundation, along- side a donation from Bank of Valletta and contributions from co-sponsors. BOV CEO Kenneth Farrugia presented the donation to Rich- mond Foundation CEO Daniela Calleja Bitar during a visit last week, in the presence of Nathan Farrugia, Founder of X-Tribe and Daniel Magrin, Head of Marketing and Product Lifecycle Management at Bank of Valletta. The Bank's well-being chal- lenge is about making healthy choices easier to stick to, in- cluding looking after your body, taking care of your mind, and staying on top of your finances. By partnering with organisations working in wellness and com- munity support, BOV aims to encourage small, practical steps that can make a real difference. Kenneth Farrugia said, "We talk a lot about well-being, but it really comes down to every- day life; how we feel, how we cope, and the support we have around us. That's why we're proud to back Colour My Run and Richmond Foundation's work, and to keep encouraging open, stigma-free conversations about mental health. When we pull together as a community, we can make a lasting difference for people and families across Malta." Nathan Farrugia, founder of X-Tribe, said the aim is to make movement feel open to every- one. "Mental health is something we all must safeguard. We truly believe that physical and mental health go hand-in-hand and one can be leveraged to boost the other. Our organisation is keen to support the work of the Rich- mond Foundation in this space, through our Colour My Run event. In this way, not only does this event create joy in the mo- ment, encourage outdoor phys- ical activity and gets families to enjoy time together; it also sup- ports financially. We therefore hope that this event, and others like it, continue to be a trigger for mental health awareness through physical activity." Richmond Foundation CEO Daniela Calleja Bitar said: "Col- our My Run continues to high- light the strength of our com- munity when it comes together for mental health. This event is a powerful example of what mean- ingful collaboration can achieve. We sincerely thank Bank of Val- letta, sponsors, partners, and the organisers X-Tribe for their invaluable support and commit- ment to help us continue raising awareness and promoting men- tal wellbeing, while reminding everyone that no one has to face their challenges alone." Lidl and UEFA launch unique strategic partnership THE companies of the Schwarz Group are expanding their commitment to European football through a long-term strategic part- nership with UEFA—the first of its kind. As part of this agreement, Lidl will deepen its collaboration with UEFA, combining ex- pertise to promote conscious nutrition and active lifestyles from professional football to grassroots level. The partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship by creating societal value through UEFA's educational programs. A central focus is grassroots football and education. Lidl will support UEFA's grass- roots and school initiatives by integrating healthy nutrition and physical activity into children's daily lives. Through UEFA Foot- ball in Schools, the partners are developing a pan-European digital platform to help nation- al associations deliver inclusive, high-quality football in schools and clubs. The platform will offer practical guidance, including online courses for teachers and coaches. Lidl will al- so act as UEFA's official Take Care Nutrition Partner and continue initiatives like the Lidl Youth Camp to support young talent. Lidl is also strengthening grassroots foot- ball through partnerships such as the UEFA Grassroots Awards and UEFA Grassroots Week, celebrating local clubs and initiatives across Europe. The aim is to support the en- vironments where lifelong engagement in sport begins. Building on its partnership with UEFA since 2024, Lidl will remain a global partner of both women's and men's national team football through 2030. This includes supporting ma- jor competitions such as UEFA EURO 2028 and UEFA Women's EURO 2029, along with various qualifiers, Nations League tour- naments, youth championships, and futsal events. CPHCL acquires Greenscapes to launch professional landscaping and garden centre operations CPHCL Company Limited has ac- quired Greenscapes, a dedicated land- scaping facility located within the limits of Attard, as part of its strategic plan to establish a fully-f ledged pro- fessional landscaping company within the Group. The newly acquired site, covering approximately 4,400 square metres, will serve as the operational hub for the Group's landscaping activities and support the continued development of landscaping services both for Corin- thia-related projects and third-party clients. Established in 1966 as the original holding company of the Corinthia Group, CPHCL has built a diversified portfolio spanning the property, ser- vices, and hospitality sectors. Jean-Pierre Schembri, CEO of CPH- CL, said: "This investment reflects our commitment to diversification and ex- cellence across our operations. Land- scaping has always been central to the presentation of our properties, and establishing a centralised professional unit allows us to strengthen our capa- bilities while also delivering landscap- ing projects for third parties." As part of the next phase of devel- opment, the property will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment and rebranding process to align with the Group's standards and the vision for the new Palace Garden Centre, which will offer a range of specialist garden equipment, plant and tree supplies, outdoor furniture, and related prod- ucts. The site will also host the operations of Palace Landscaping, the Group's landscaping services arm, which aims to further enhance the quality, effi- ciency, and consistency of landscape design and maintenance across CPH- CL properties in Malta and interna- tionally. In addition to servicing Corinthia Group properties, Palace Landscaping will offer its expertise to third-party clients, providing landscape design, soft and hard landscaping, mainte- nance services, irrigation systems, and sustainable green solutions. The acquisition forms part of CPH- CL's broader strategy to diversify its activities, consolidate key operational services, enhance standards, and cre- ate new business opportunities that complement its core hospitality and development portfolio.
