6 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | SUNDAY • 12 APRIL 2026 GASANMAMO Insurance has enhanced its travel insurance policy. Travel has changed. The world is more expensive, more unpredictable, and our travel- lers span a wider range of ages and needs than ever before. Be- cause at 75, 80, or beyond, the desire to explore doesn't sim- ply switch off. Following the evolving needs of travellers, we are pleased to announce a sig- nificant upgrade to our travel insurance product range. High- er limits, broader age cover, smarter benefits — all at no ex- tra cost to our clients. THE BIG NEWS FOR SENIOR TRAVELLERS Ages 81 - 85 are now covered. We know that life doesn't stop at 80, and neither should travel. GasanMamo is extending Basic Cover to travellers aged 81 to 85. No medical certificate re- quired. Ages 75 - 80 now qualify for Standard Cover. Previously limited to Basic, this age group can now access better cover through the Standard option. HIGHER PROTECTION. SAME PRICE. In a world where a hospital stay abroad can cost tens of thousands of euros, we've made sure our limits reflect reality. Emergency Medical & Associ- ated Expenses have been sig- nificantly increased across all covers. Cancellation of Service is now automatic at no additional cost to clients. What does this mean? This covers additional travel and accommodation expenses if a flight is cancelled due to ad- verse weather conditions or natural disasters. It's the safety net you need when mother nature has other plans. Previously an optional add-on, this benefit is now included in our 'Standard' and 'Executive' cover at no additional cost. There is no need to remember to tick a box. Rental Vehicle Excess limits- standard cover now stands at €750 (previously €400), while Executive cover now stands at €1,000 (previously €500). One less thing to worry about. One more reason to travel with confidence. Delayed Departure - benefits now kick in every 6 hours of de- lay, down from every 12 hours. When you're stuck at an air- port, every hour counts. Greater value Alkagesta strengthens aviation presence with IATA strategic partnership ALKAGESTA has been on- boarded as a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global trade body representing the air- line industry. The development reflects the company's growing involvement in aviation fuel sup- ply and related logistics. IATA plays a central role in establish- ing industry standards, support- ing operational efficiency, and facilitating coordination among stakeholders across the air trans- port sector. The partnership follows the launch of Alkagesta's jet fuels trading book earlier this year, marking a gradual expansion in- to the aviation segment. Recent industry reporting — including coverage by Bloomberg on Alk- agesta's access to European logis- tics routes via NATO's CEPS pipeline - has highlighted the company's increasing presence in aviation fuel markets and its ability to supply major European airports. According to third party news reports, Alkagesta has already secured two airline tenders to supply jet fuel to Stuttgart and Cologne airports in Germany, as well as Brussels Airport in Bel- gium. The supply agreements, scheduled to begin in spring 2026, amount to roughly 200,000 barrels in the first year. Deliveries will include sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) blended in accordance with the European Union's 2% SAF mandate.
