7 gozotoday | FRIDAY • 24 APRIL 2026 NEWS AC Milan legend Christian Abbiati visits Gozo for exclusive meet and greet AC Milan legend Christian Ab- biati was welcomed in Gozo on 15 April 2026 for an exclusive meet & greet event organised by the Milan Supporters Club Gozo at Villa Fiorita. The event was at- tended by approximately 100 fans, creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere for local supporters. The evening featured a Q&A session led by a local sports jour- nalist Chris Micallef, where Ab- biati shared insights from his career and experiences at the highest level of football. Fans were also given the opportunity to ask questions directly. Following the discussion, attendees enjoyed time for photos and autograph signing with Abbiati, before the event concluded with a standing reception. During a short interview, the President of the Milan Support- ers Club Gozo, Steve Cassar, ex- plained how the club's vision is evolving. While members still meet regularly to watch matches and assist supporters in attending live games, the club is increasing- ly focused on bringing AC Milan legends to the island. Following the successful visit of Chicco Evani, Abbiati's ap- pearance marks the second such event, with further discussions al- ready underway for future guests. The aim remains to strengthen community and fan engagement. He also expressed his gratitude to all sponsors and committee mem- bers who made the event possible.
