One of our first memories of this project was a discussion we had during the earliest meetings with the client, when the President of the Foundation and of St John's co-Cathedral of the time requested that we build an extension that was beautiful, and we promised him we would do that. He also asked that the new addition be not only beautiful but also the embodiment of a seamless continuation of the spiritual nature of the artefacts to be housed there and of the Cathedral itself. It was a simple and legitimate request for we are dealing with Malta's most important historic and religious monument. Achieving it though is complex and difficult, but we have not stopped keeping that original request as our main vision and goal.
