When faced with the question he always tries to run away from it. You know our team, you know what they do," Abela said, adding that Borg "does not even know what a fiscal forecast is". The prime minister also revisited Borg's comments on IVF earlier this week during a debate, where he insisted he was not against the procedure. "You look at their manifesto, and nothing. That is not us, we want to help you create your families," Abela said. Drawing a direct comparison between himself and Borg, Abela asked supporters: "Who do you want prime minister, Alex Borg or Robert Abela?" He ended the speech with an appeal for supporters to vote early and convince undecided voters. He also rallied supporters to "call friends" and convince them. "We know some have hurt, but let us know so we can fix it. Vote early, and do not let others decide your future." The mass meeting ended with deputy leaders Ian Borg and Alex Agius Saliba joining Robert Abela and his wife Lydia and their daughter Georgia. "I am commissioner because Robert Abela believed in young people, and was not afraid to trust in the new generation," he told those present. He called on supporters to continue working on mobilising voters and work for the party. "I could have stayed in Brussels, but I too felt the responsibility for my country. I have seen what it means to lose all this progress," Micallef said. Robert Abela
