W
hile many people associate
interior design with
aesthetics, Shalise Barnes
approaches it as a business
tool. Organic Elegance was conceived as a
short-let investment, meaning every design
decision was evaluated through the lens
of guest experience, market positioning,
and return on investment. Rather than
maximising occupancy with three small
bedrooms, the apartment was reconfigured
into two generous suites. On paper, this
reduced the number of beds. In practice,
it allowed the property to attract a higher-
value guest and deliver a significantly more
premium experience.
