9 gozotoday | FRIDAY • 3 JULY 2026 CULTURE MINISTERU GĦAL GĦAWDEX GVERN TA' MALTA THE 14th edition of Ħondoq by Night will once again take place this summer, with the popular Gozo event set to re- turn on Friday 3 July from 9pm onwards. The annual event, which has become a fixture on the is- land's summer calendar, was announced by Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri, who described it as one of the most anticipat- ed seasonal activities in Gozo. Camilleri said Ħondoq by Night has grown into an im- portant cultural and enter- tainment appointment, noting that its continued organisa- tion for a 14th year reflects its popularity and success over time. He said the government will continue to invest in quality events that offer experiences for families and young peo- ple, while also contributing to year-round tourism activity in Gozo. The event will once again transform Ħondoq ir-Rum- mien into an open-air enter- tainment venue, with music, lighting and the natural sur- roundings combining for what organisers describe as a dis- tinctive summer atmosphere. This year's edition will fea- ture performances by Cash & Band and Ryan Spiteri, along- side other artists delivering a varied musical programme. Camilleri said events of this kind help bring life to Gozo's localities and create economic opportunities for local busi- nesses, while strengthening the island's identity as a vi- brant destination throughout the year. The event is being organised through collaboration be- tween the Ministry for Gozo, the Qala Local Council and Qala Saints. Hondoq by Night returns for 14th edition on 3 July in Gozo summer staple
