The main item is the set de- signed by Briffa but visitors can look at a further dozen, the work of different contem- porary artists. There is no entry fee at this cultural centre in Victoria's Pjazza San Ġorġ, with normal hours of 9am to 5pm seven days a week. This obviously also offers an opportunity for visitors to go through other exciting exhibits. Art Stamps exhibition Kalipso event to celebrate Gozo's cultural heritage with folklore, music and tradition GOZO'S rich cultural traditions will take centre stage this sum- mer with Kalipso, an evening celebrating the island's folklore, music and heritage. The event, taking place on 25 July from 8pm to 11pm, will bring together locals and visitors for an immersive experience fea- turing performances by Għaq- da Kumittiva Għawdex – Kids Group, accompanied by the re- nowned Ta' Verna Folk Band, as well as a performance by Strait Ahead. Organisers said the event aims to preserve and showcase Gozo's unique traditions, offering audi- ences the chance to experience the island's authentic cultural identity through traditional mu- sic, dance and folklore. Alongside the performances, attendees will be able to enjoy food and entertainment in an evening designed to highlight the customs and spirit that con- tinue to shape Gozitan heritage. However, the small bay is attracting atten- tion this summer after a natu- ral transformation left it with a much larger sandy area. According to information shared by Visit Gozo, the ef- fects of Storm Harry, which hit the Maltese Islands last January, reshaped parts of the coastline, with Daħlet Qorrot benefiting from sand being washed ashore and expanding the beach area.
