A very successful print launch, sponsored by the Arts Council was held at the Na- tional Public Library in Val- letta. It highlighted how the nov- el presents a broad canvas of Maltese society shortly after the island attained Independ- ence in 1964. Snow on Comino focuses on the experiences of four young people as they come to terms with the new society that was being created. It's been de- scribed as a coming of age novel in the Malta of the late 1960's in a community that was experiencing new psycho- logical and social tensions. "I'm encouraged by the re- sponse to the print edition," Alfred Sant said. In the past, he has said how he was pulled aside and told that the nov- el was the longest in modern Maltese literature, and would scare readers off. "Bringing Snow on Comino to Kindle ensures that readers can carry this story with them anywhere, whether they are on a bus or plane or reading at night. So they might make it to the end!" The Kindle version of Snow on Comino includes features optimized for digital reading, like text size customisation, whispersync functionality and instant keyword searching. As an e book, it meets the demand from internation- al audiences and digital-first readers for high quality. This is the first – quinque – pub- lication to be also published as an e book. "We're very sat- isfied with the product and look forward to seeing how readers, especially those out- side Malta, will react," the – quinque – team stated. Snow on Comino's release date was set for the third week of August, making it available at Amazon on the Kindle ap. The digital edition now brings the whole world of Snow on Comino to electronic screens, allowing readers to download the book instantly. Alfred Sant's Snow On Comino is now available as an eBook
