After PN sacking, Nathaniel Attard
insists he has 'always been loyal'
NATHANIEL Attard has said
he will recover from the current
difficult period, insisting he has
devoted more than 30 years of
his life to the ideals he believes
in and served loyally in the Na-
tionalist Party.
In a Facebook statement, At-
tard said he had faced setbacks
throughout his life, includ-
ing health problems in recent
months, moments when his ef-
forts were not appreciated and
occasions when he may have
made mistakes for which he had
paid a heavy price.
His remarks come after the
Nationalist Party removed him
from his position as communi-
cations director.
Attard said he had found him-
self at the centre of widespread
discussion and urged the public
not to believe everything be-
ing said about him, particularly
comments made by people un-
familiar with the situation or
those who did not have his best
interests at heart.
"What is certain, and what
I can swear to, is that I gave
everything I could, gave my life
and my health to the ideals I
have always believed in," he said.

He added that he had served
for more than 30 years with loy-
alty in every position of respon-
sibility entrusted to him, and
said he intended to continue
doing so.
Attard said those who had
worked alongside him could
vouch for his loyalty, although
he added a pointed qualifica-
tion: "Or almost everyone."
He also appealed for support
from God, his late mother and
his family as he navigates what
he described as a difficult mo-
ment, expressing hope that the
situation would eventually pass,
as other difficult periods in his
life had done.
Concluding his statement,
Attard urged people to allow
everyone to express their views
but cautioned against rushing to
judge anyone.
"The moment of truth will
come too," he said.
