41 maltatoday, CHRISTMAS SUNDAY, 15 DECEMBER 2013 Circo Acquatico at Marsa invites you to a 'splashtastic' festive season HELD until 5 January, Circo Acquatico will be among the last animal circuses to be held in Malta, and is being put up in Marsa (opposite the former 'Save On'). Leading Circus Director Johann Said of Circo Acquatico is a third generation Circus Coordinator. His grandfather started up the company in the 1960s and for Johann this is the grand finale, which is the culmination of years of hard work and planning. The aquatic circus was a world of wonder as it arrived, unloaded, started to unfold, and slowly created an entire new town of its own complete with a fulltime Chef to feed its staff, generators to create their own electricity, animal physicians and veterinarians, mechanics, wardrobe personnel, designers and choreographers. Circo Acqutico's vision is to present something new and fresh, with an exceptionally modern theme that has never been seen before. This aquatic show is unique with its moveable water stage which will stun and charm audiences with its all-European style, performance art, and quirkiness. Nothing brought more pleasure to the families across this great land as the general public are already talking about and tagging Circo Acquatico as being the "best one in town". This show is recommended as a 'family show', showcasing no aggressive animals. Instead, the public can expect to see a variety of acts including water mammals' acrobats, jugglers with lots of glitz and glamour and sparkles – this year stands to be different. Tickets are priced at €10 for adults and €5 for children. Parking is free and for a limited time only Circo Acquatico is offering a free child entrance with every two paying adults. The Circus is here until 5 January. Circo Acquatico is holding three shows a day 3.30pm, 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
