55 Sport maltatoday, SUNDAY, 15 DECEMBER 2013 SUBBUTEO Attard Subbuteo Club awards first honours of the season VALLETTA Subbuteo Club were the winners of the "Independence Cup", the first official competition organised for the 2013-14 season by Attard Subbuteo Club, organised on the occasion of the Car Free Day within the same locality. This triangular tournament saw the participation of Valletta, Attard and Hamrun Table Football Club. During the tournament, Opposition Leader Dr. Simon Busuttil visited and met players and officials of the three clubs (photo attached 1). Meanwhile, the first official individiual honour for Club members was claimed by Daniele Spadaro (photo 2), winner of this year's Christmas Cup. Gordon Caruana placed second and Keith Zahra, third. Currently, the club is also organising an internal Championship, reserved to its members, as well as a Premier League, which this season brought together players from Attard Subbuteo Club and Hamrun TFC. Attard Subbuteo Club is open to members of all ages who wish to practice the game of Subbuteo Table Football.
