Directed by Rob Ricards. Cast includes Julia Camilleri, Marion Sayers, Abiodun Adeyemi and Joseph Muscat. Designed by Luke Azzopardi and Adrian Abela. The audience is invited to remain for a Q&A session with the cast and crew after the performance. MUSIC & NIGHTLIFE JANUARY 19 Tea Time Concerts in Mdina: The Bach Road Journey Concert of Bach's works at the Carmelite Priory, Mdina at 16:30. The programme includes: Biber – Passacaglia in G minor; JS Bach – Partita No 3 in E major; Pisendel – Giga and Telemann – Fantasie No 9 in B minor. Sarah Spiteri will be on violin. Admission is against a donation of €5. JANUARY 21 Gabi Sultana recital Recital by Maltese-born, Ghentbased pianist Gabi Sultana at the Music Room of St James Cavalier, Valletta at 20:00. JANUARY 21 Lunchtime concert at the Oratory of St Francis Performance by 'classical guitarist' Bernard Catania at the Oratory of St Francis Church, Republic Street, Valletta from 12:30. Catania will be performing works by Isaac Albeniz, Francisco Tarrega, Enrique Granados, Heitor Villa- Lobos and traditional Spanish music, amongst others. JANUARY 31 An Evening of Italian Opera Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Michalis Economou presents an evening of music from the operas of three great Italian opera masters, Donnizetti, Bellini and Puccini. Spectacular overtures flank some of the most loved arias for soprano from their operas, featuring acclaimed Maltese Soprano Miriam Cauchi. Starts at 19:30. Tickets are at €30, €20 and €10. THEATRE TONIGHT AND JANUARY 18, 19 Salome ta' Oscar Wilde Maltese-language adaptation of Bach Road Journey in Mdina Oscar Wilde's play based on the biblical account of Salome, at St James Cavalier, Valletta, 20:00. Translated by Alfred Palma and directed by Mario Frendo. Cast includes: Larissa Bonaci, Mario Micallef, Nathalie Micallef and Alan Fenech. JANUARY 24-26, 31; FEBRUARY 1, 2 Tender Napalm Unifaun Theatre production of Philip Ridley's drama at St James Cavalier, Valletta, 20:00. What happens when two former lovers, traumatised by an unnamed disaster try to pick up the pieces of their relationship? Directed by Toni Attard. Cast includes Bettina Paris and Rommel Grech.
