FEBRUARY 7-10 Jiena Nhobb, Inti Thobb Stagun Teatru Malti production of an original play written by Simon Bartolo and focusing on gay adoption in Malta, staged at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta, 20:00. Fiddler on the Roof centres on Tev ye, the head of a Jewish family. He must cope both with the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village. EXHIBITIONS UNTIL FEBRUARY 16 A Libyan Lama Exhibition of contemporary Libyan artists at St James Cavalier, Valletta, organised in collaboration with Noon Arts. Artists include Matug Aborawi (who has just recently joined Noon Arts), Yousef Fetis, Mohammad Bin Lamin, Hadia Gana, Naziha Arebi and Arwa Abouon. UNTIL FEBRUARY 16 Juxtapositions Collective exhibition at St James Cavalier featuring works by Derek Nice, Paul Gibson, Jean Pierre Gatt and Wayne Hill. The four artists have been brought together to play off each other's energies. UNTIL FEBRUARY 25 Woman Collective exhibition organised by the Malta Women in Business organisation at Razzett tal- Markiz, Wied il-Għasel Road, Mosta. Featuring works by: Violet Vella, Sephora Baldacchino, Faye Grech, Abi Macleod Clark, Emma Borg, Olivia Domingo, Karina Fiorini, Francelle Pace Agius, Xaxa Calleja, Isabel Warrington, Nicole Farrugia and Borz Alexandra. UNTIL MARCH 31 Maltese Maritime Graffiti Exhibition of historical graffiti at the Malta Maritime Museum, Birgu. Scattered around Malta, graffiti are found on megalithic stones, medieval prisons, and on modern buildings such as wayside chapels, parish churches, public buildings and private homes. The exhibition is based on the pioneering research work by the Museums Department former employee Joseph Muscat and his recent donation of various casts of ship graffiti to the museum. A number of salvaged original graffiti will also be displayed, including a large ship. graffito and legend dating to 1766 salvaged from a demolished residence in Zurrieq.
