An initiative of BNI, the world's largest business networking or- ganisation, the Week presents an opportunity for networking groups, companies, organisations, and in- dividuals across the world to start 2014 by taking proactive steps to strategically use networking to pro- mote business growth. Malta BNI will be joining Inter- national Networking Week 2014 which will be observed worldwide through hundreds of events, large and small, in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, England, Finland, France, Germany, Ire- land, Nigeria, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, the United States, and more. These celebratory events will feature presentations by respected networking experts, provide participants with power- fully effective networking tips and strategies for achieving long-term business growth. They will also give attendees plenty of opportunities to network with like-minded business professionals and entrepreneurs. This is the third consecutive year that Malta BNI is celebrating Inter- national Networking Week which inaugural edition was held in 2007 and has gained momentum each year around the world. The Malta event will be held on Wednesday, 5 February 2014 at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard, starting quite early in the morning at 07:15. The idea is that one is back at the of- fice by 10:00/10:30, unless one sees more value in staying on to network further. Conducted by Malta BNI National Director, David Bullock, the event will be attracting all business pro- fessionals, tradespeople, entrepre- neurs, students, government and council representatives - anyone who would like to know more about how business networking can grow individual businesses and make a powerfully positive impact on the economic wellbeing of these busi- nesses. In the case of BNI, 'our business is to help your business do more busi- ness'. Participants learn how they can generate more business through BNI's dynamic structure called the business referral system. As the largest business network- ing organisation in the world, BNI offers its members the opportunity to share ideas, contacts and, most importantly, business referrals. BNI groups, of which there are now five in Malta – Sliema, Attard, Valletta, St Julian's and Birżebbuġa – comprise members who build long term relationships and are sincerely committed to helping one another find more business through networking and word of mouth re- ferrals. Ivan Misner, Founder of BNI and the Referral Institute says: "Differ- ent countries, different cultures, different races, different religions, different people, different places – we are all united by one thing. We all speak the language of referrals. We all want to do business with people we know and trust. Relation- ship networking is not only a great way to get business, it's an even bet- ter way to do business; I urge people worldwide to utilise International Networking Week to focus on do- ing something to improve their own networking efforts because there really is no better time than now to start strengthening your business relationships."
