51 FOOTBALL maltatoday, SUNDAY, 2 MARCH 2014 Sport No Valletta players for friendly match against Albania PHOTOGRAPHY BY DOMENIC AQUILINA / MFA MALTA will be sending their team for the friendly match between Albania and Malta without any players from Valletta's squad. The reason that no players have been selected from Valletta is because they failed to turn up for training on Thurs- day and Friday. The Valletta players instead attended a recovery session with the club. The players turned up for training yesterday morning, but they were told by national coach Pietro Ghedin that they would not be considered for se- lection for next Wednesday's match at the Nico Dovana Stadium in Durres. The squad is made up of: goalkeep- ers Justin Haber (Birkirkara), Andrew Hogg (Kalloni); defenders Andrei Ag- ius (Aprilia), Steve Bezzina (Balzan), Ryan Camilleri (Hibs), Clayton Failla (Hibs), Alex Muscat (Sliema), Manny Muscat (Wellington Phoenix), Zach Muscat (Birkirkara), Joseph Zerafa (Birkirkara); midfielders Andrew Cohen (Hibs), Paul Fenech (Birkirkara), Leighton Grech (Qormi), Edward Herrera (Birkirkara), Bjorn Kristensen (Hibs), John Mintoff (Sliema), Gareth Sciber- ras (Birkirkara); forwards Michael Mifsud (Mel- bourne Hearts), Andre Schembri (Omonia Nicosia), Terence Vella (Birkirkara). ROMA failed to make significant inroads into Juventus' advantage at the top of Serie A after being held to a 0-0 draw at home to Inter Milan. The Giallorossi created the better chanc- es, but Inter were good value for the point, which gives them a two-point advantage over Hellas Verona in fifth place. Roma move to within eight points of Juve with the same number of games played, al- though the Bianconeri have the chance to move 11 clear when they face AC Milan on Sunday night.
