With this result, Tarxien remain unbeaten in the Rel- egation Pool. Vittoriosa managed to get on the scoreboard 12 minutes into the match. Marcelo Pereira served Oscar Guerrero, the latters first attempt on goal was blocked by goalkeeper Nicky Vella, but off the rebound Guerrero headed the ball past the Tarxien goal- keeper. Tarxien had to wait till the 41st minute before they scored the equal- iser. Jorge Santols Silva served Karl Pulo who then dribbled past his op- ponent before beating goalkeeper Mario Muscat with his shot. The second half remained goalless and one minute from time Tarxien were reduced to ten men when Carlo Mamo was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. This result was a positive one for Vittoriosa as they sit second from the bottom. Naxxar immediately started to press and push Rabat back into their own side. After a number of failed goal scor- ing chances in the first half, Naxxar managed to score ten minutes into the second half. Andre Rocha da Silva served Angus Buhagiar who then went on to beat goalkeeper Pavle Velimirovic with his shot. Naxxar made sure they took all three points home on the 85th minute when Victor Bellia concluded a great run when his powerful shot left no chance for Rabat's goalkeeper.
