Events 38 maltatoday, Sunday, 11 May 2014 Exclusive Residences Volume 2 out now Frank Salt Real Estate have just published the second edition of a collection of Malta and Gozo's most spectacular residences, specifically selected for their superior design, luxury standards, comfort, breath- taking locations, typical local char- acter and for that something out of the ordinary, making each of these properties unique in its own mer- its. Malta's rich history is likewise re- f lected in our buildings and prop- erties, an asset that the Maltese have always held at heart. Proof of this are the many palazzos, houses of character and farmhouses that adorn our towns and villages, dat- ing back to the 18th, 17th, 16th and even earlier centuries, paying hom- age to the legacy of the Knights of St John. The 19th and 20th century brought about the concept of urban development and the introduction of what we today refer to as town houses. In the latter half of the last century, the Maltese landscape took on a new dimension, with the emer- gence of community dwellings and apartment blocks, as well as ter- raced houses, villas and bungalows for the more aff luent. As the years rolled by design and architecture never stopped get- ting bolder and grander. Innovative building design and architectural concepts keep emerging to this very day, evident in Malta's major avant- garde residential addresses, such as Tigne Point in Sliema, Portomaso in St Julians and the likes. Through this compendium of Ex- clusive Residences, we have tried to bring you a taste of the island's prime real estate presently on the market for sale and to let – catering for a selected demand for distinc- tive properties. Some of these resi- dences have been designed and fur- nished by Malta's top architectural firms and interior designers, as well as by our in-house 'Home Interiors Division'. Exclusive Residences goes on to feature most of the island's high profile developments, some of which are the recipients of world- renowned awards. Moreover, this issue also coincides with the recent launch of the Malta Investment Programme and most of the properties have been spe- cifically chosen to meet the needs of applicants of the programme. These superb residences would also be suitable for people taking up res- idency in Malta. Frank Salt Real Estate, together with subsidiary company Homes of Quality are proud to be exclusive agents of a good number of these properties. You can see the publication on- line by visiting our website www. franksalt.com.mt, or alternately visit any of our branch offices should you wish further information about these properties or to pick up a hard copy of Exclusive Residences Oakley joins Ferrari in dream alliance OAKlEy Motorsports is join- ing forces with Scuderia Ferrari, the most storied team in Formula 1 history, in what can be called a dream alliance, bringing together two iconic giants of their respec- tive industries. New Citroën Grand C4 Picasso named MPV of the Year by "What Car?" magazine THE editorial team of "What Car?", one of the UK's most pres- tigious publications, was won over by the many qualities of the new Citroën Grand C4 Picasso in terms of styling and comfort. Recently launched in the UK, the Marque's latest MPV has a long list of strengths, starting with its unique design. The new balance between cabin space and f lowing lines sets it apart from the 5-seat- er. Further, with the efficient new EMP2 platform, it is second-to- none for its ability to combine modular design, space and access. It also sets a new record low in CO2 emissions with a version emitting just 98g/kg, and a new engine, the BlueHDi 150, with the technology to reduce both NOx and CO2 emissions. The new Citroën C4 Picasso is available at Michael Attard ltd, recently appointed exclusive Im- porter for the Citroën brand in Malta.
