The grading was divided in sec- tions of stamina, display of kick- boxing techniques and the use of such techniques in sparring. Any athlete who wishes to reach a higher level must demonstrate discipline in every aspect of the exam. The part in which it involves the greatest amount of energy is always the last one where the ath- letes have to apply the techniques they have learned in sparring with full protective gear. Although that have arrived to the end of their strength the athletes were encour- aged to maintain discipline and be clear in performing their tech- niques. The Ying Yang Team Noel club had 35 athletes who took part in the grading in all belt categories. Women and men, adults and chil- dren, all gave their best and showed their determination to take the belt. Their time and the number of techniques that had to do all de- pended on the level of the belt. The athletes and their respec- tive belts were: Yellow: Jack Dan- iel Abela, Simon Attard, Deisler Vella, Silvio Hannan, Enrique Galea, Raven Borda, Carlos Far- rugia, Robert Cilia, James Grech, Kimberly Attard, Evan Moujjer, Ryan Cini, Josef al Hassan, Orange : Elton Desira, Orlando Attard, El- liot Caruana, Zdenjik Tabone, Jus- tin Fiteni, Kevin Ellul, Kyle Borg, Chris Carbone, Shaun Azzopardi, Mariah Zammit Pace Santana Co- lombo, Keniwar Hannan, Jesmar Winters, Daniela Zammit, Green : Steve Bugeja, Brent Spiteri, Mar- john Sultana, Salvatore Santobel- lo, Glenn Dimech, Purple : Shehu Hannan, Brown: Bernice Casha, Brandon Spiteri. For June, in the next edition of Gladiators Nights, the athletes from Team Noel, Dan- iel 'the Jet' Zahra and Ruth Tanti will have professional matches and Brandon Spiteri will compete for of the World kickboxing Network (WKN) European Amateur Title Belt.
