VISUAL ARTS CONTINUES BY APPOINTMENT Retrospective by Norbert Attard Retrospective exhibition by artist Norbert Attard at Gozo Contemporary, 11, Mongur Street, Gharb, Gozo. Art works spanning 40 years will be on display. These include Attard's early paintings, drawings and lino cuts from the formative years, limited edition prints (including the Walled Cities, Mihrab and Kimono series) and abstract paintings from the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and photographic prints and sculptures, from his most recent conceptual phase. LITERARY EVENING JUNE 28 Literary evening with Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko Russian Poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko – best-known for his poem Babi Yar and the eponymous symphony made in collaboration with composer Dmitri Shostakovich – will be appearing at the Russian Chapel in San Anton Palace, Attard at 19:30. The distinguished Russian poet, writer, actor and film director will attend a literary evening with readings of a few of his poems, translated into Maltese. The event will be moderated by award- winning Maltese writer Immanuel Mifsud. The event, which will be held in Maltese, is free and open to the public. Doors will be open 30 minutes before the event.
