Amongst the audience was the Honorable Chris Agius M.P sur- rounded by 1200 tickets holders who had bought their prior to arriving and experienced boxing at its highest level. A long night endured by all for what were 12 bouts of complete professional- ism. The atmosphere made time f ly by. The professional bout was Ty- rone Borg, light heav y weight vs Attila Mata, a Hungarian boxer with Maltese International li- cense. Attila has mainly been boxing in MMA. The brave Hun- garian could not bring much to the table against the hard punch- er Tyrone. In the first round Mata was mostly running away from the chasing el terrible destroyer. After getting hit hardly from "El Terrible" Borg the referee consult- ed with the corner of Mata and it was decided not continue into the second round. It ended after just one round that Tyrone won on all score-cards. Result: TKO R2 time 0:00. Best fight of the event was be- tween Garth Galea who boxed for the vacant WBU International and Stephen Littlewood. It was a fabu- lous fight with amazing speed and character. "What an joyful fight to have watched!" commented a foreigner from Hungry. The fight ended in the 3rd round at 0:38 with a TKO. Garth was presented his title by the Honorable Chris Aguis MP and Michael Bonell President of MBA - Boxing Malta. Christian Schembri made a brilliant fight. He was the whole time attacking and hitting his op- ponent. Perry Scobes turned his back to Christian who continued attacking him until the referee said stop. Perry said that the ref stop when he turned around the ref confirmed that he commanded stop later as Schembri boxed him at the ropes. Perry lost his cool and stormed out of the ring. Scobes is a good boxer, but it was just not his day and Schembri was the man who ruled the game in the ring. Result: TKO R2 at 1:20. Richard Vella won the PBP In- ternational title with a UD of 6 rounds against Molnar Zsolt. The event was sanctioned of the Malta Boxing Association. Super- visor: Mr. Marc James. RESULTS: 1.
