The album will be on sale along with the band's first EP ('With Strings Attached') along with merchandise will be on sale. Doors open at 21:00. DECEMBER 12-14 GO Teatru Unplugged Annual edition of the eclectic and enduring acoustic concert at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta from 20:00. This years performers are soloists Simon Schembri, Berne and Emilia Wisniewska, the duo Justin Galea and Claire Tonna and three full bands; Gianni & Friends, nosnow/noalps and Stoned. Tickets are at €20, €15 and €10. Bookings: bookings@ teatrumanoel.com.mt, 2124 6389. DECEMBER 14 The Jazz Trio Jazz concert at the Oratory of the Jesuits, Valletta at 16:30. Featuring Tony Sammut (piano), Simon Sammut (bass) and Joseph Camilleri (drums). Entrance to the Oratory is from Archbishop Street. Entrance is against a suggested donation of €10. Proceeds from the teatime concerts will go towards the University Research Trust (RIDT). DECEMBER 15 Jubilate Deo 40th Anniversary Concert Artisanal fair at Hotel Phoenicia, Floriana from 11:00 to 18:00. Featuring over 70 stalls of local arts and crafts made by independent artists ranging from jewellery, wooden crafts, toys, paintings, aromatherapy, clothing and much more. There will also be delicacies made from fresh local produce as well as souvenirs. DECEMBER 18 Rouge Electroswing party at Razzett l-Ahmar, Mosta. Featuring Dr Zicotron, The Chef, Dockerbone, Chris Davis (UK) and Diego (Italy). Dress code: anything with a touch of red. Doors open: 22:00. DECEMBER 20 Chris and Moira in concert Singer-songwriter duo Chris and Moira will perform tracks from their new album Ninety Nights and a Monday including their recently released single Middle at Xlendi Bay. Doors open at 20:00. DECEMBER 20-JANUARY 4 Merry Poppins: The MADC Panto Annual MADC Panto featuring Alan Montanaro at MFCC, Ta' Qali. Set on a Mediterranean island during colonial times, the show sees Merry Poppins (Montanaro), a nanny that is not your average nanny, being summoned to look after Governor Banks' bratty children Mikey and Jane. Rest of the cast includes: Katherine Brown, John Montanaro, Joseph Zammit, Luke Saydon and Mandy Randon, among others. DECEMBER 23-JANUARY 4 Pinocchio: The Panto Annual FM Theatre Panto written by and starring Edward Mercieca as Dame Saltimbocca, at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta. Cast also includes Renato Dimech as Geppeto, David Chircop as Jimmy, Larrisa Bonacci as the Blue Fairy, Maxine Aquilina as Princess Esmeralda amongst others. DECEMBER 19-21; 26-28 Post-Dramatic Stress Disorder Satirical comedy sketch show by Frolic at St James Cavalier, Valletta at 20:00. Featuring Marta Vella, Bettina Paris, Ema Marie Attard, Vikesh Godhwani, Sean Borg and Ryan Cutajar, with Luca Zerafa as resident pianist. Tickets are at €10, €12 and €15. DECEMBER 26-JANUARY 3 Comedy Knights: 12 Months of Funny Satirical comedy sketch show by 'The Comedy Knights' will be performed at Teatru Salesjan, Sliema, at 20:00. Directed by Wesley Ellul. MISC EVENTS DECEMBER 11 Anniversary Seminar on Foucault and Derrida Various Departments within the University of Malta are taking the opportunity of this double anniversary to come together to commemorate the work of Foucault and Derrida, and to support postgraduate work on their ideas both at a theoretical level and in their application across various disciplines. DECEMBER 13 Villa Bologna Open Day The Villa Bologna Gift Shop, Attard will be organising its very own Christmas Open Day from 09:00 to 19:00. Visitors will be able to stroll around the gardens free of charge as they parse through stalls set up by local artisans. Ceramicist Dolores Lungaro Mifsud will also be in attendance.
