Events 26 maltatoday, SUNDAY, 18 JANUARY 2015 A touch of class at Banif's staff Christmas Party GasanMamo charms with authentic calendar International media launch of the Fiat 500 X Crossover in Turin The Banif staff Christmas party was a night to remember! Set at the lavish Villa Corinthia in At- tard, this year's theme was black and gold... and the party-goers re- ally out-did themselves with some truly wonderful ensembles! The dulcet tunes piped out by Mark Rapa and band set the tone for a night of relaxed mingling, witty repartee and fond recol- lections of the past year's experi- ences and stories. A culinary feast was on offer, with three rooms off the main hall offering Asian fare, a fresh seafood bonanza and the perfect Angus beef. "Our staff parties are always extremely well-attended," said Patrick Bartolo, member of the Sports and Social Committee. "From board members to our newest recruits, it's a great chance for people who don't usually get to see each other too often to meet up and socialise. And since this was our last major event for the year, we wanted to close it off in style!" During the event, Chief Officer for Corporate Services Adrian Coppini announced the Banif Employee of the Year, an award presented to that employee, nominated by colleagues, who excels in owning and promoting the Bank's values. The award for 2014 went to Francelle Buhagiar, Branch Manager of the Bank's Qormi Branch at the Pavi Com- plex. Life is unpredictable; the best that we can do is to be pre- pared for the worst and to hope for the best. One cannot rely on fate, providence or chance, because life can be volatile and surprising at the best of times. This is the main theme of the yearly GasanMamo Insur- ance calendar, much awaited by staff and clients alike. Once again this calendar is ground- breaking to the Maltese Is- lands. This year's captivating calendar provides six pieces of digital art, which refers to a class of insurance offered by GasanMamo. "The New Year always starts off with high ambitions and ad- mirable goals but we don't really know what the year ahead will bring. At GasanMamo Insurance we plan with a strong sense to the present, making sure that our 'right now' is positive and unwavering. This will, in turn, lead us to a similar future," said Mark Ma- mo, General Manager at GasanMamo. The innovative calendar was developed by MPS Marketing Communications. "Since life is unpredictable, it must go on, no mat- ter what. But choosing the right insurance product can be very perplexing for some peo- ple. Thanks to this calendar we have twisted exaggerated situations to offer a funny in- terpretation of leaving things to destiny. Likewise each piece of digital is explained within the context of the star sign ap- plicable to that period," said Alan Paris, Creative Director at MPS. In a nutshell the meaning behind this year's calendar concept is that no one can rely on destiny or fortune and Gas- anMamo is providing a serv- ice that is without surprises and nothing less than what is expected. GasanMamo puts customers first, knowing that the company's success depends on how well to anticipate, appreci- ate, understand, and satisfy the needs of its customers. After making its debut at the Paris Motor Show, the 500X was recently presented to the international press at a week- end event in Torino. The new compact crossover, the lat- est model from the 500 fam- ily, marks the evolution of the brand, a further expression of the technological maturity that runs in its blood. The new model is expected in Mal- ta over the coming months. A beauty with character, the new car explores a brand- new dimension of being 500, where a mature, elegant, all- Italian style "clothes" – like haute couture – the substance of a car that is comfortable, high-performance and always in touch with the world: this is the X side of beauty, and this is the soul of the Fiat 500X. The Fiat 500X is a crossover not only in its very nature, but also because it appeals to a wide range of customers, male and female, of different ages, with different needs and tastes. In this sense, the "X" symbol represents a cross- roads between several very different segments, each in- habited by the young and the mature, lovers of beauty and connoisseurs of character. These people are dynamic, with an active social life and they cultivate different pas- sions and interests. The 500X comes in two ver- sions: the first - available in Pop, Popstar and Lounge trim levels and featuring distinc- tive, elegant styling - is sure to win over young, dynamic, metropolitan customers.
