Events 45 maltatoday, Sunday, 6 September 2015 Vodafone Malta Foundation donates €5,900 to the Inspire Foundation for Internet Connectivity Project emCare's new website makes caring for your loved ones easier emCare has launched a new website: www.myemcare.com to provide individuals with in- formation about its B2C solu- tions. These solutions are spe- cifically designed for people's peace of mind, accident pre- vention, health monitoring and independent living within their home and while on the move. Since emCare does not aim to replace the human element, but rather to complement it with technology, the company already helps thousands of people feel more independent, at ease and secure within the community. In fact, most of the company's solutions are linked to a 24/7 call centre and as soon as the call centre is alerted, the case is handled efficiently, pro- fessionally and safely by per- sonnel who have been trained and benefit from a wealth of ex- perience in determining what each situation requires. emCare's three pillars, em- CareHome, emCaremobile and emCareHealth, also cater for different health and care re- quirements. emCareHome utilises the latest technology to meet em- Care's objective of enabling people to lead independent lives within their own home, whilst knowing that a help- ing hand is always available. among the devices offered for the home are emCareHub and emCareHub add-ons for a more personalised service, includ- ing the On-Wrist Fall Trigger, a Smoke Detector, an Intruder alert and many more. Taking emCareHome a step further, emCaremobile offers real-time care and attention to individuals while they are on the move, outside of their household. emCaremobile is a sophisticated phone which has been especially designed to be extremely easy to use. Loved ones are also able to set up and manage the phone's features through an online Web Self Care Portal. emCaremobile also includes an SOS button on the back of the phone. This is the one and only button that needs to be pressed by the user in any emergency situation. The company's third pillar, emCareHealth not only moni- tors people's environment, but also their health. The SCOPe solution, with its vital sign monitoring devices, allows for early detection of conditions that may need to be monitored or medicated. emCareHealth also builds people's electronic medical records, which can be accessed in real-time by loved ones and medical representa- tives.
