SEPTEMBER 24-OCTOBER 2 Mostra bibliografica antiquaria – Dante Alighieri To celebrate the 750th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's birth, the Na- tional Library of Malta and the Ital- ian Cultural Institute have organized a bibliographic exhibition displaying antique and precious editions of the works of the Supreme Poet at the National Library of Malta, Valletta. The exhibition comprises of some splendid 19th century editions of the Divine Comedy with fine gold bindings and decorated with the famous engravings by French artist and engraver Gustave Doré. On dis- play there will also be some editions of this literary work in English and Maltese. UNTIL SEPTEMBER 27 The Culture of Ageing Collective Exhibition Curated by Lennard Dost and Mare van Koningsveld, this collec- tive exhibition addresses the concept of ageing through the questioning of the role of seniors within societies while also exploring how do these societies react to an ageing popula- tion. The exhibit approaches ageing from a Maltese perspective while also relating this perspective with other cultures.
