With both teams creating few chances in front of goal, Qormi finally managed to open the scoring on the 23rd minute. Off a cross by Steve Agius, Alessio Cassar beat goalkeeper Diego Rossetto with a shot from just outside the area. Qormi were in command of the match and they doubled their lead on the 28th minute. Ryan Micallef 's pass released Alex Nisson who then left no chance for the St Andrews goalkeeper with a diagonal shot. St Andrews came close to open- ing their score just before half- time when off a corner by Jordan Williams, Matthew Guillaum- ier's effort was cleared off the goal line. In the second half, St Andrews continued to press to try to re- duce Qormi's lead. But in the 62nd minute, it was all over for St Andrews when Alex Nilsson was brought down inside the area. From the penalty spot Nilsson made no mistake to beat goalkeeper Diego Rossetto and make the final score a con- vincing 3-0.
