HALLOWEEN EVENTS OCTOBER 29-NOVEMBER 2 Popeye Haunted Village Event Concept Halloween event at Popeye Village, Mellieha from 19:00. The entirety of Popeye Village will be used for the event. Event is 12+ and teenagers between 12-15 are to be accompanied by an adult. No one pregnant, suffering from any heart conditions or under the age of 12 (even if accompanied by parents) will be allowed to enter for the night event. OCTOBER 30 Hub Halloween special Halloween party organised by Film Hub Malta at Reno's Bar, Sliema from 21:00. Bar games will be held all night, giving you a chance to win more free drinks, whilst enjoying the company of guests who have a passion for films. There will also be a costume competition. OCTOBER 30 The Twisted Fairytale Halloween party at Portomaso Tower, Level 22 from 22:00. Featuring DJs Alex, Alessia and Mr Vinz. Admission is at €10. Dress code is 'dark version of fairy tale characters'. The person with the best costume will win a bottle of Moet. Organised by Events by Martin. OCTOBER 31 Halloween Massacre Halloween party at Coconut Grove, Paceville from 22:00. Free entrance, and plenty of free gifts promised. OCTOBER 31 The Halloween Monsters Ball Halloween party at Zion Reggae Bar, Marsascala from 20:00. Featuring DJs Gorgobot and Geddumu. Free drinks given to those with the scariest costume. OCTOBER 31 The Butcher's Pit Heavy metal Halloween event at the BMX Bike Track in Pembroke from 20:30. Featuring Extreme BMX show, ClubMurder, Loathe and A Broken Design. Entrance before 22:00 is €9, €13 after. CONFERENCES OCTOBER 16 The Translation Tradition From 18:00 - 21:00, a wide- ranging conference in Maltese on the Translation Tradition in Malta, 'It-Tradizzjoni tat- Traduzzjoni', is being held at the Maritime Museum in Vittoriosa (Birgu). This event is free of charge and open to the general public. The talks will be followed by light refreshments.
