42 Events maltatoday, Sunday, 17 January 2016 Hermann Mallia, one of the di- rectors of Famalco Group, has been appointed as Honorary Consul for Pakistan in Malta after his nomination by the Government of Pakistan was formally accepted by President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca. Mallia is from a prominent Maltese business family and has accepted the honorary position to work for the promotion of bilateral relations between the two countries. During a meeting with Zaheer Pervaiz Khan, Tunis-based High Commissioner of Pakistan to Malta, Mr Mallia explained how the two countries can benefit from the synergies that can be established in the commercial, social and cultural ties of the two countries. He reiterated his commitment to promoting the ongoing coop- eration between the two coun- tries in all spheres, especially trade and investment, and mak- ing himself available at all times to assist any Pakistani citizens residing or visiting the Maltese Islands. The High Commissioner of Pa- kistan to Malta thanked Mallia for accepting this position and appreciated his vision for further consolidating the friendly ties between Pakistan and Malta. Cutajar learned about the Har- ley of Hope campaign from so- cial media and was determined to become the lucky owner of the exclusive Harley-Davidson Street 750 knowing that the winning bid was going for a good cause. Cuta- jar added that she and her husband are very familiar with the Harley- Davidson brand and always want- ed to own one, thus the Harley of Hope was the perfect opportunity to make their dream come true. Speaking about this acquisition 6PM CEO Ivan Bartolo said "This acquisition was the next logical step in 6PM's strategic growth plan.
