The Citadel Marzamemi Weekend Regatta will welcome over thirty boats, which will be divided into various classes, to race up to Marzamemi. The fleet will leave from Mar- samxett Harbour early on Friday morning. Depending on weather conditions, crews will be expected to start arriving in Marzamemi later on in the afternoon. Throughout the weekend a number of social and racing events will take place which will enable Maltese and Italian crews to mingle and share experiences in a relaxed environ- ment. "Being the first offshore race of the season, with most boats coming off the hard, the Mar- zamemi Weekend Regatta is always a popular event", said Godwin Zammit, Commodore, Royal Malta Yacht Club " This year this event is being sponsored by Citadel Insurance plc who have regularly supported the Club's rac- ing endeavours, and for this we are grateful". Crews will race back down to Malta on Sun- day morning, finishing off at the Royal Malta Yacht Club. A Prize giving ceremony will take place at the Club on Friday 6th May.
