EXHIBITIONS UNTIL JUNE 26 Stejjer Imfewha – A Multi- Disciplinary Exhibition Stejjer Imfewħa – A Multi- Disciplinary Exhibition dwells into different forms of expression such as installation art, written and sound art, photography, performance and drawing. Taking place at the Inquisitor's Palace, Birgu. This exhibition presents the results of a collective assemble of research and information, presented in a creative way so as to ensure audience gain experience and also award experience. UNTIL JUNE 17 L-gh Three years of intense work and research from the first batch of graduating Digital Arts students at the University of Malta will culminate in a collective exhibition at the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences (MaKS) at the University of Malta. The exhibition is titled 'L-għ', a name which serves as an umbrella term to describe all twelve projects together whilst simultaneously exploiting the individual uniqueness of each one. FILM FESTIVAL UNTIL JUNE 11 Valletta Film Festival Second edition of the Valletta Film Festival, featuring an eclectic programme of local and international short and feature films, screened across various venues in Valletta. This year's edition will have director Alan Parker (Midnight Express) as its special guest, while a selection of the works of Terry Gilliam (Brazil, Twelve Monkeys) will be screened free of charge. LECTURES, READINGS JUNE 9 Treasures of the Silk Road Public lecture by professional tour guide and lecturer, author, film producer and cameraman Christopher Bradley at Le Meridien, St Julian's at 18:30. In 'Treasures of the Silk Road', he will speak about the world's most famous trade route. Silk was just one of the many products traded for 1,400 years; it was a highway for beliefs, ideas, inventions and art. JUNE 9 Never Arrive Public reading and Q&A session with Farah Abdi, who will be presenting his book Never Arrive: an autobiographical account of a young refugee who is forced to f lee his family home and community as he is persecuted for his sexual orientation.
