maltatoday, SUNDAY, 19 JUNE 2016 37 FILM director James Cameron, famous for directing Titanic and Avatar, is the executive producer on 'Search for Atlantis', a docu- mentary which was partly shot in Malta for National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel Canada. Cameron said that, "Finding the historical and archaeological truth behind the Atlantis myth has always been a fascination of mineā€¦ Our exploration team will investigate several new theo- ries about where the real Atlantis was, who these mysterious peo- ple were and what disaster wiped them from the Earth over three millennia ago." Besides Malta, filming also took place in Sicily, Crete, Santorini and Sardinia. The documentary is set to premiere internationally next winter. Minister Edward Zammit Lewis said this is a "great opportunity for screen tourism", and that such productions provide an "excellent promotional opportu- nity" for our history and heritage around the world. This Week Titanic director to shoot 'Atlantis' documentary in Malta Ahead of tackling the documentary for National Geographic, James Cameron confessed to a "fascination" with the history behind the Atlantis myth James Cameron Clean Bandit complete Isle of MTV Malta lineup CLEAN Bandit have been an- nounced as the final act that will take the stage at the landmark 10th edition of Isle Of MTV Malta. The collective will join pre- viously announced artists Jess Glynne, Wiz Khalifa and Steve Aoki at the event on the Grana- ries in Floriana on Tuesday, 28 June. The concert is organised in partnership with Malta Tourism Authority. Clean Bandit said in a state- ment, "We grew up watching MTV for hours on end, so it's a huge honour to be visiting the Isle of MTV." For the first time, the entire show will be streamed live at www.isleofmtv.com. Fans can interact with the stream by posting to social me- dia with #IsleofMTV; a part- nership with Snapchat will also make Isle of MTV a globally viewable Snapchat Live Story. MTV's Snapchat Discover channel will feature a wide range of content from Malta in the lead up to the show includ- ing articles, videos and exclusive interviews with the performers. Fans will also be able to enjoy and interact with the show via Facebook Live links from the event, streaming a host of back- stage and fan content. Clean Bandit
