The first concert – Tlaqna Nghabbu – will be taking place between June 21 and 23; the sec- ond – Kuncert Bla Vat – between June 26 and 28 and Ghal Kbar Biss between August 23 and 25. BOOK LAUNCH JULY 5 Will Read for Drinks – Pomegranate Heart 2nd edition Launch of the second edition of poetry collection Pomegranate Heart by Miriam Calleja at Café Society, St John's Street, Valletta at 20:00. This will be a low-key gathering with some reading and socialising. The author will be available for discussions, book signing, and beverage tributes. Pomegranate Heart is published by Ede Books. WHAT'S ON Loathe will perform at Xtreme Metal Assault Isle of MTV celebrates a decade at the Granaries The free annual music festival, Isle of MTV, returned to the Granaries in Floriana to celebrate its tenth anniversary last Tuesday, with international performers Wiz Khalifa, Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit and Steve Aoki rounding up the headlining acts at the 50,000-strong festival. Security was given a boost at the festival this year, with the Tourism Ministry – the co-organiser of the MTV-sponsored event – also donating €20,000 to the Floriana Local Council for inconveniences caused by the large-scale event. This year's edition was also streamed live for the first time, airing a series of prime time recordings on the screens and the addition of a Snapchat team who documented the event as some of this year's additions.
