The Spaniard, who withdrew from the Tour during Sunday's ninth stage, told a news confer- ence in Madrid that his goal now was to get ready for the Vuelta (Tour of Spain) which starts on Aug 20. The men's Olympic road race will be held on Aug. 6, almost four weeks after he sustained his injuries in two crashes in the first two stages of the Tour. "The prospect of the Games is practically discarded," 33-year- old Contador said. "The goal is to recover for the Vuelta. It is a blow to the morale because the Games were the sec- ond big goal of the year and I had to discard them." Alberto Contador abandoned the 2016 Tour de France due to injuries sustained during the race Bolt in Jamaica Olympic squad USAIN Bolt has been included in Team Jamaica's squad for the Rio Olympics despite his injury con- cerns. The six-time Olympic cham- pion suffered a hamstring tear at his country's national trials at the start of July but was named in the 63-strong squad which was released by the Jamaica Olympic Association. The 29-year-old, who will de- fend his 100m, 200m and 4x100m medals in Brazil this summer, was one of four Jamaican athletes who applied for medical exemption. The Jamaica Administrative Athletics Association allows for medical exemptions if an athlete can show an injury denied them the chance to compete at the tri- als. Fellow sprinter Elaine Thomp- son and hurdlers Janieve Russell and Hansle Parchment have also been granted exemptions, a state- ment on Team Jamaica's website confirmed. Bolt will look to prove his fit- ness and form at the Muller An- niversary Games in London which start on July 22. Usain Bolt
