43 Events maltatoday, SUNDAY, 31 JULY 2016 Fanta launches new look and feel with its Spiral bottle FANTA, has taken fun to new heights with the launch of a new spiral Fan- ta bottle inspired by Fanta great orange taste. The newly designed bot- tle is now available in Malta through GSD Mar- keting Ltd, distributors of The Coca-Cola Com- pany brands, produced in Malta by The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd. The launch of the new Spiral bottle and the matching renewed visual identity is being supported by a series of initiatives in- viting teens to enjoy and share fun moments to- gether. The unique new shape for Fanta breaks the con- ventional PET engineering rules. It is a truly radical bottle design which com- bines intelligent engineer- ing and creative design to deliver a disruptive on- shelf image and unique physical structure. In fact, the new shape represents the fruity taste of Fanta and sports the re- newed Fanta logo and col- our scheme that is hand- crafted, bold and fun: a true translation of the perfectly imperfect world out there. GSD Marketing Ltd general manager Brian Galea said: "Fan- ta has always been playing a key role in the sparkling category in Malta, and it is important for us to be able to con- stantly renew the bond between the brand and its audience through bold in- novations. With the new spiral bottle, we turn to dynamic people who love to experiment and have fun, offering a refreshing and great tasting fruity drink ". The bottle and the re- newed visual identity is intended to raise the in- terest of teens who are eager to explore, attracted to spontaneity and love to share their discoveries with their friends. The asymmetric silhou- ette is expected to stick out on the store shelves attracting teens and their parents to enjoy and ex- plore the vibrant sparkling beverage with fruit juice content. Martin Agius, sales & marketing manager of GSD Marketing Ltd, said: "Teens are constantly on the lookout for innovation. The Coca-Cola Company, producers of Fanta, never stops short of providing its consumers with initiatives combining the elements of sur- prise and fun. Fanta's new image aims to achieve just that." GO doubles international data capacity GO has doubled the data capac- ity of its international subma- rine cables following a major up- grade. The project forms part of GO's ongoing major investments in Malta's telecommunications infrastructure to meet future demand from both domestic and business customers. The upgrading of GO's inter- national fibre links over the past year means that the company's submarine cables now carry twice the quantity of optical wavelengths that they did this time last year. At the same time, the roll out of Fibre-To-The-Home and Mal- ta's only fibre connected 4G net- work has resulted in increasing demand from customers in all categories of international con- nectivity, from household inter- net traffic to major businesses and institutions. This demand will continue to increase exponentially as the volumes and uses of data in- crease and more devices, such as cars and domestic appliances, become connected to the inter- net. GO remains the only operator in Malta to have invested in two separate international subma- rine cable links, delivering high capacity access to major routes of the international network and the best reliability available. GO's capacity upgrade was carefully planned and executed so that existing users were unaf- fected while the project was be- ing implemented. GO's Chief Commercial Of- ficer, Kurt Camilleri, said, "With this doubling of capacity, GO's market leading capacity and re- liability in international connec- tivity has been given a further boost. As a company we remain committed to giving our cus- tomers the best possible service today, and to making the invest- ments needed to ensure Malta has the infrastructure in place to make the most of an exciting future." GasanMamo employees proud to be part of GasanMamo insurance AS part of their on-going activi- ties to enhance the experience of their employees and to celebrate their achievement at the work place, GasanMamo Insurance recently organised a fun day for all staff members. The theme of this year's Gasan- Mamo Day was "Pride and Per- formance". The event kicked off at 6pm at their meeting point at Ma- ria Rosa Wine Estate in Attard, from where everyone headed off to Mdina and then broke up into 15 teams. The team-building challenges started off with an iPad treasure hunt in the old capital itself. The teams took photos and videos of their respective team members impersonating funny scenes around Mdina and the outskirts of Rabat and answered several questions about the history of the old capital. As always, this meant that teamwork had to be put at the forefront of the activity with suc- cess, and everyone focusing at the task at hand for the evening. Following the treasure hunt, the teams headed back to Ma- ria Rosa Wine Estate for an ex- clusive party, during which a number of employees were rec- ognised for their long service to the company. "The objective for the Gasan- Mamo Day was multilateral – employees being proud to work for GasanMamo and praising their performance," said Julian J. Mamo, managing director at GasanMamo Insurance. "We believe that through such activities, staff members are encouraged to retain their pas- sion and enthusiasm as well as improve teamwork and increase group effectiveness." The winning team of the treasure hunt was made up of Kelly Azzopardi, Daniela Hol- lier, Audrey Gatt, Mark Mamo, George Portelli Hale and Gio- vanni Cortis.
