Márquez has taken three wins and five further podiums from the opening nine rounds to open up a 48-point lead over Yamaha rival Jorge Lorenzo, as he bids to add to his 2013 and 2014 crowns. However, Márquez is wary that clear heads will be required across the remaining nine rac- es, with the first of those tak- ing place at the Red Bull Ring, which returns to the calendar after a 19-year absence. "A quite hectic and challeng- ing second half of the season is about to begin, requiring our total concentration and a lot of hard work," he said. "I had the chance to enjoy this amazing track twice, even if I wasn't riding my factory bike and of course I couldn't push as much as I like." Márquez went on to compare the Red Bull Ring to the Circuit of the Americas, where he has not been beaten in the premier class. "It's a circuit that's quite en- joyable," he explained. "Some things about it remind me of Austin in that you have to brake very hard and stop the bike and turn quickly, but then there's the last part that's faster. "I think it's a good track for the World Championship and I can't wait to ride there with a MotoGP bike. "When you approach a [Grand Prix] weekend at a new circuit, it's different, and you have to be able to adapt as quickly as pos- sible." Marc Márquez I will be champion 'within a year' - David Haye DAVID Haye says he will win the second world heavyweight cham- pionship of his career within the next year. Haye won the WBA belt from Nikolai Valuev seven years ago in the standout moment of his 30-fight career, adding it to the unified world cruiserweight title he previously collected. The Londoner is two victories into a comeback from a four-year hiatus from the ring and is target- ing the scalp of either IBF cham- pion Anthony Joshua or WBO and WBA champion Tyson Fury. "I believe within a year I'll have a version of a title," he told Vauxhall. "Whether that's from Anthony Joshua, the winner of Fury and Wladimir Klitschko after their rematch, or Deontay Wilder. I'm focusing more on the British side of things. "Lennox Lewis was the only champion we had at the time, same with Frank Bruno. Now you've got two champions and possibly three if I can get a world title fight. It's a situation that's never happened before." Haye has swiftly dispatched Mark de Mori and Arnold Gjerg- jaj in 2016 since announcing his return to action, earning the No 6 spot in the WBA rankings, and is plotting his next outing. Shannon Briggs was likeliest to oppose Haye, but a fight with the veteran American is yet to be con- firmed. "I'm working on this next fight - I want it to be a substantial fight that will get people excited," Haye said. "It's a good time to be in the heavyweight division in the UK." David Haye wants to reach the top of the heavyweight division again
