Jack's Fusion to launch debut EP at Salesians Theatre FRONTED by Emma Grech on vocals, with Luke Deguara and Jacob Spiteri on guitar, bassist Kurt Bezzina, and drummer Jean-Luc Camilleri, Jack's Fusion have just released their debut EP: Impulse. The band were formed in 2014 and have been writing original content ever since. "Music is our passion, and expressing ourselves through music is very important especially through writing and com- posing," drummer Jean-Luc Camilleri said. "This EP is a landmark step for us, as it encompasses all the hard work, ideas and phases we'e been going go through personally and as a band." The first original song released by the band was 'Electric', a song carrying the same concept of un- dying energy. "In every live gig we play, we try as much as possible to give a memorable performance and to leave everyone in the audience with the same energy which we want to transmit through our mu- sic," vocalist Emma Grech said. Plans for the EP have been brewing for over a year. Recorded at Jubox Studios Malta, the six-track EP contains five new original songs, including the sin- gle 'Electric'. An EP (Extended Play) typically has around five songs, but the band was adamant on adding an extra song, and exceeding expectations, as was the same line of thought held throughout planning for the launch itself. "As our first major project as a band, we wanted to make both the EP and the launch itself as big as we could possibly manage. It's been a hectic couple of months in preparation but we're positive it will be worth it," Kurt, the band's bassist, said. What can one expect from the launch itself? Rath- er than a gig, Jack's Fusion sees this event as more of a full on concert, a celebration of all the work put into the process itself. The event will be held at Teatru Salesjan, a 108-year-old theatre situated at the heart of Sliema. Being the place where Jack's Fusion had its first formal performance as a band, the choice of venue was not only significant, but sizeable enough to be able to host a larger audience. The band will be joined by other musicians on the night as well as a guest band, Pyramid Suns, making the night one to remember for all. The event will be held on the August 25 at Teatru Salesjan, Sliema, with doors open at 20:00. Tickets may be purchased through Trackage Scheme at htt- ps://shop.trackagescheme.com/event/jacks-fusion- impulse-ep-launch-concert/. Free parking will also be available on the night Jack's Fusion were formed in 2014, and will be releasing their debut EP, Impulse, on August 25 Angie Vella Zarb will be performing at Madliena Lodge Danielle Bitton will be singing at Malta Casino, St Julian's
