maltatoday, SUNDAY, 14 AUGUST 2016 Fuel & Logistics III Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders: Much more than a fleet of trailers FAHRENHEIT Freight Forwarders is currently busy improving its fleet of trailers and tractors whilst concurrently developing the skills and expertise of its workforce. Being a logistics com- pany that specialises in the provision of international road transport services, Fahrenheit acknowledges that a suc- cessful and authentic customer service can be delivered only by an educated and informed workforce operating an efficient fleet that is up to date with the latest technology. Boasting of one of Malta's largest privately-owned fleets, with over 200 trailers including reefers, box, tilts and hanging garments, Fahrenheit is cur- rently overhauling its fleet to keep up with all current advancements within the logistics sector. This year new trucks and trailers were added to the fleet. The trucks' can receive up to 44 tonnes, and the increase in engine power improves comfort by reducing engine noise and vibrations. The new trucks and trailers guarantee higher per- formance, especially by securing a more comfortable and safety experience for all operators. Moreover, all road tractors are equipped with communication and satellite monitoring systems that make it possible to monitor all movements while in transit. All workers have now got the op- portunity to enhance their skills; boost their careers; and develop their knowl- edge within their own field of opera- tion. Warehouse labourers, operational personnel and office assistants partici- pated in a variety of courses that add further significance to their professional development. General Work Practices; Health and Safety, Aviation Security and First Aid courses sought to set a standard on operating procedures and outlined all the necessary procedures to be followed in order to maintain highest levels of safety. The annual Aviation Security course specifically focused on all procedures necessary in the handling of cargo; from its loading till its handover at the very last stage of the operation. Such personal development supports Fahrenheit's certification to transport and handle hazardous cargo in the safest conditions possible. Sustained by its aim to constantly exceed clients' expectations through offering a hassle-free service, Fahr- enheit is succeeding in enhancing the quality of both its workforce and its fleet. The logistics sector is crucial to Malta's economy, and being one of the key play- ers in this sector, Fahrenheit is strong willed to provide outstanding quality to all its customers and workers alike. It believes that its workforce and its fleet are the company's most important asset, and such efforts portray Fahrenheit's willingness to offer a quality service from pick up to delivery. Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders is Mal- ta's leading provider of international road transport services. For further informa- tion send an e-mail to info@Fahrenheit. com.mt or call 2339 2339.
