Guangzhou will join more than 40 destinations on Emir- ates' extensive global network served by its highly popular A380 aircraft, including Bei- jing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, London, Paris, Sydney, Toronto, Auckland, Bangkok, and Seoul. Since the route's inaugura- tion in 2008, Emirates has been f lying a two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on its daily f lights between Guangzhou and Dubai, and the airline has seen steady growth for its service on the route. Once the A380 service commences, it will in- crease capacity by 15% to meet the growing travel and trade de- mand from Southern China to Dubai and beyond. Emirates will deploy its three- class A380 on the Guangzhou route, offering a total of 491 seats, with 14 private suites in first class, 76 mini pods with lie-f lat seats in business class and 401 spacious seats in econ- omy class. All Emir- ates customers travelling on the A380 can access more than 2,500 channels of on demand audio and visual entertainment, which includes Chinese content on its ice entertainment system, featuring the latest movies, mu- sic, TV programmes, podcasts and games, as well as free Wi-Fi to stay in touch with family and friends during f lights. In addition, first class and business class customers can comfortably socialise or relax in the renowned onboard lounge on the upper deck of the Emir- ates A380. Emirates EK362/363 offers first class customers the exclusive service of the on-board shower spas during f lights, which makes Emirates the only airline in the Guang- zhou market offering this pre- mium customer product on an A380. The double-decker A380 is the world's largest commercial aircraft in service, and it is ex- tremely popular with travellers around the globe, with its spa- cious and quiet cabins. Emirates is the world's largest operator of A380s, with 81 currently in its f leet and a further 61 on order. Guangzhou will be the third destination in Mainland China for Emirates to deploy its f lag- ship aircraft, after Beijing and Shanghai. Emirates currently operates f lights to five desti- nations in mainland China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Yinchuan and Zhengzhou, connecting Chi- nese travellers to Dubai, and onwards to more than 150 des- tinations around the globe. GO celebrating the opening of its new outlet in Paola Marlene competition names Helen Bondin a winner THE Win!Marlene competition has come to a close, naming Hel- en Bondin as the winner of a new Honda SH125i scooter. The final super prize, the innovative AUDI A3 Sportback e-tron was won by a lucky Marlene customer from Madrid in Spain. Marlene is one of Malta's fa- vourite apple brands and Bondin has discovered the Italian alpine apples are not only crunchy and tasty but also rewarding, as she has won the third of four Honda scooters in the latest Win!Marlene competition. Bondin was presented with the prize at local Marlene repre- sentative PlanetFruit by Pauline Agius from Star Fruit who ex- plained during the prize-giving that close to a million codes had been played in the international Win!Marlene competition. Marlene has become an iconic brand from the South Tyrol, as well as being the number one Italian brand in the production and varieties of apples. Crunchy and juicy, red, yellow or green, Marlene offers the right apple for every taste. Marlene prod- ucts are checked one-by-one and grown according to exacting production standards; handled with great care and passion, and with the utmost respect for the environment. Furthermore, all of the varieties of Marlene apples have the PGI seal which means Protected Geographic Indica- tion, certif ying their origin from the South Tyrol. Marlene was established with the aim of promoting apples from the South Tyrol in the Ital- ian Alps under a single brand name, using the strong points of the brand: the great purity of the apples, grown at high altitude in an unspoilt region, as is the case of the South Tyrol, and their con- stant freshness from the orchard to the shop. In short, guaranteed and superior quality compared with other apple varieties. There's more good news in store for Marlene fans. The first Marlene Gala are harvested now and will be on the Maltese shelves towards the end of Au- gust. The latest news from the skilled Marlene growers is that this year's crop are particularly crunchy due to the excellent weather-conditions they have grown in. A new Marlene com- petition is planned to launch in January 2017 after seeing so many happy Marlene customers with their prizes.
