The objective is to offer diversified range of training which will help organizations as well as customers to enhance their financial responsibility. Creditinfo Academy's mission is to stipulate responsible lending practices through the involvement of financial literacy programs. Through its courses, the academy can influence the development towards more sustainable and financial inclusive economy. Creditinfo Academy, part of Creditinfo Group, is a skills development and training provider that delivers generic and customized training services. The focus is to provide training for clients wanting to develop their skills to improve operational efficiency and overall business performance, as well as train consumers and assist public sector in their quest for financial inclusion. One of the challenges facing financial institutions, especially FinTech companies, is the fast pace of technological developments and FinTech innovations, which happens around the globe. The issue is to ensure that the staff, managing those new products and digitalized lending processes, possess a relevant set of skills. The conservative approach towards credit control and monitoring won't work in this case. Credit officers are no longer dealing with Excel spreadsheets and direct interviews with clients. They have to be adapt to new technologies, understand the latest products, and understand the trends, as well as the new risks which come with it. IoD-led delegation meets British High Commissioner Stuart Gill The Chairman of Malta's Institute of Directors (IoD) James Satariano led a delegation from the IoD Coun- cil to meet new British High Com- missioner Stuart Gill. The delegation consisted of Satariano, James Arrigo, IoD Honorary Secretary, and Edwin Ward, IoD's Communications Director. The delegation discussed a number of topics with High Commissioner Gill and exchanged views on business issues. Gill explained to Satariano and fellow Council members the broad policy that the UK presence in Malta will follow and how the British High Commission may collaborate with the IoD, continuing a heritage that has lasted three decades. IoD Malta is the co-organiser of the 20th European Corporate Governance Conference in conjunction with the European Confederation of Director Associations (ecoDa) and EY EAME, which will be held in Malta during April of 2017. The 20th European Corporate Governance Conference will be attended by more than 250 international Directors and Chairmen from the largest cap companies across the EU. "We are delighted to be working closely with ecoDa on a range of issues, undertaking research and contributing to their Policy Committee as well as co-organising major events like the 20th European Corporate Governance Conference," Satariano said. "We will be undertaking an outreach programme to local stakeholders over the next three months to gather support for the event and we will be represented at the 19th European Corporate Governance Conference in Bratislava on October 27 by Edwin Ward our Communications Director, who is also our representative in Brussels with ecoDa."
