maltatoday, SUNDAY, 9 OCTOBER 2016 This Week 33 WHAT'S ON Eden Comedy Club is back for its 15th year THE Eden Comedy Club is back for its 15th Stand Up Comedy Night on October 28 at 20:30, at the Eden Cinemas in St Julian's. The line-up for the night will feature acts from across the globe live on stage, including renowned headliner, Jeremy O'Donnell, who mixes sharp one-liners with friendly story- telling and sparking off the cuff wit. He has a reputation for performing consistently strong sets and as an excellent compere at major comedy clubs, corporate shows and festivals. Also showcasing his comedic prowess is Alan Francis. Francis is a Scottish comedian who first came to notice of comedy audiences after winning UK's Channel 4's 'So You Think You're Funny' Award in 1991. His passions are properly flared when he talks about politics. In 1995 he co-wrote and co-starred in Jeffrey Dahmer is Unwell at the Edinburgh Festival, and in 2002 he presented his one-man show, Clobbered, there. Last but not least is resident MC Geoff Whiting who has now become a house-hold name in comedy, locally and abroad. Whiting is the founder of Mirth Control Comedy and has a wealth of experience in working at all notable comedy clubs in Europe. His funny, strong, versatile acts lend itself to any occa- sion. Doors will open at 19:30. For tickets and more information please visit edencinemas. com.mt or call on 2371 0400 MC for the night: Geoff Whiting
