Casa Antonia Nursing and Residential Home is already gearing up for the winter season with a full schedule of activities for its residents to enjoy all the homelike comforts. The residential home has delightfully transformed the common areas with har- vest inspired decorations, while the kitchen staff are planning new winter menus with more warm food and traditional Maltese dishes. Participation in social and leisure activi- ties serve to maintain physical health. At Casa Antonia, residents enjoy various social activities held in the common areas. These include crafts, cooking, dancing classes, daily mass and regular outings. For the wheel-chair bound residents free dancing classes are starting this month. Preparations are underway for the forthcoming event - a Halloween Party for residents and their relatives on 30th Octo- ber. Halloween masks and hats are being prepared for the occasion with the help of some residents, providing them a fun and active hands-on experience. Christmas time comes early at Casa Antonia with several activities ranging from Christmas crafts, baking of traditional Christmas sweets to carol singing, live band marches and a ballet performance. The nativity play and the "priedka tal- Milied" (a child's oratory about the story of baby Jesus) are no doubt the highlight of the Christmas festivity.
