Music, art, co-creation and awareness are at the heart of this positive occurrence. The inten- tion behind this event was to cre- ate awareness about the environ- ment, the arts and the community by taking people away from their mundane, everyday routine. This year's event, sponsored by GSD Marketing Ltd – distribu- tors of The Coca-Cola Company brands produced in Malta by The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd – also highlighted The Coca-Cola Foun- dation's Alteraqua project. The main aim of the Alteraqua project includes mobilising Non-Conven- tional Water Resources to increase water harvesting and availability in a sustainable, cost-effective way and promote a new water culture, at both a local and a national level. "As a company, we are committed to support the community through activities that raise the public's awareness and conscience to live sustainably by empowering disad- vantaged societies and respecting the environment," said GSD Mar- keting Ltd General Manager Brian Galea. "Visitors were be able to partake in several activities including arts and crafts workshops for children and adults, lectures and workshops on green issues, and get-to know sessions with different NGOs. The festival also provided excel- lent music, live events and a few surprises thrown in the mix," said Public Affairs and Communica- tion Executive at GSD Marketing Ltd. Clarissa Jones. The money raised for charity during the festival was donated to three organisations, including Right 2 Smile, an international NGO supporting young women in India by giving them access to education and employment; the Gaia Foundation, an NGO that work hard all year round to make sure that sites like Għajn Tuffieħa are preserved and maintained; and Why Not?, which has a mission to create new platforms where more educational and environment- related workshops and events take place. "The Bubble sets out to create an atmosphere of learning, creativity, fun, relaxation, charity and sharing of new ideas," said Matthew Butti- gieg on behalf of Bubble, the non- profit NGO behind the festival. Famalco Group strengthens workforce in Sicily AT Famalco Group, our aim is not just to build a workforce, but to create a community of people who not only feel comfortable working together, but also help each other reach new levels of professional success. Such an aim cannot be achieved only in the office, so the Group made it a point to organise monthly team building events that allow members to meet outside of a working environment. This month, the team went to Sicily for a day, starting bright and early at 4.00 am. Their day started with a cup of coffee, and they later made their way to visit a company they are af- filiated with, located in the area. This allowed Famalco to main- tain relations with its foreign counterpart as well as gave em- ployees the chance to get a new insight into the companies they are working with. The group also visited Savoca and naturally made their way to Bar Vitelli, where some scenes from the popular film The God- father were filmed, and also visited the Santa Lucija chapel, which also had its part in the making of the movie. They had lunch in the picturesque Taorm- ina, spent a few hours at a shop- ping complex and made their way back home.
