Njongo Priso was put through on goal by Kevin Reid. The striker went inside the penalty area and sent a shot that hit the post and ended up in the back of the net. Tarxien equalised on the 58th minute when Emerson Marcel- lina sent a through ball towards Alex Nilsson. The Swedish player chipped the ball past Manuel Bar- tolo to make it 1-1. From a cross, Amadou Samb headed the ball goalwards, but his header went slightly over. In the second half, Hogg had to be on the alert to neutralise an- other header from Samb. Floriana pushed for a goal and were again close through Mario Fontanella. Nicolas Chiesa sent a cross inside the penalty area that was met by his Italian team mate, whose header went wide.
