Potential operators should provide an investment plan to ensure that the home/s that they are eventually chosen to manage, operate in conformity with the applicable national legislation on minimum standards for care homes for older people. They should also provide detailed costings and bed rates for the initial five years, factoring in a percentage of the total licenced beds for social cases. The three homes, jointly or separately, will be rented or leased to the successful applicant or applicants for 60 years, which period may be negotiable. The Archdiocese will retain the ownership of the homes, and will expect operators to embrace the values and ethos of the Roman Catholic Church. Operators should provide human resource plans on staff complements, and ensure current employees' posts are safeguarded. Terms and conditions may apply. Operators should also submit plans on how elderly residents will be temporarily relocated during the refurbishment works. This call for expression of interest is not to be interpreted in any way as creating any obligation on the part of the Archdiocese to accept any application received or to grant the operation or management of the above homes. Only if and when a written contract is entered into between the Archdiocese and any third party, shall such obligation on the part of the Archdiocese commence.
