maltatoday, SUNDAY, 29 JANUARY 2017 XII Gaming Gaming Standards Association (GSA) Creates GSA Europe Association NMi in new location at ICE 2017 ICE flies the flag as the United Nations of gaming BASED in Malta, GSA Europe will pro- vide members with various benefits, such as European legal jurisdiction, membership levels and dues identical to those of the GSA in the US, partici- pation on the GSA board for eligible membership levels, participation in all committees for eligible membership levels, as well as an input into the GSA's global strategy and direction. GSA Europe will operate alongside GSA Asia and GSA US, with the over- all GSA to continue to run under the leadership of a single president and board of directors. Mark Pace, who will oversee the GSA Europe operation as managing director, said: "GSA has an extraordi- nary track record, and their work has influenced development, operations, and regulations in every corner of the gaming industry. "Now, with the establishment of GSA Europe, we will be able to shine an even brighter spotlight on the devel- opmental, operational, and regulatory needs of this richly diverse part of the industry." Peter DeRaedt, president of the GSA, added: "GSA Europe under- scores our recognition and commit- ment to growing European member- ship. "The intent is to continue fostering an environment of collaboration between the European suppliers, operators and regulators while our mission remains to identify common issues and jointly develop solutions to the betterment of gaming globally." ICE has once again con- solidated its status as the United Nations of gaming, following confirmation that a total of 67 juris- dictions and sovereign states will be represented on the show floor at next month's event (February 7 – 9, ExCeL Centre, Lon- don). Excluding the host nation, the United Kingdom, the countries that will have double digit representa- tion at the world's favourite gaming event are, Malta (46 exhibitors), United States of America (37), Isle of Man (23) Italy (19), Germany (13), Slovenia (12), Spain (12), Czech Re- public (11), Taiwan (11) and Austria (10).
